SBI Clerk Syllabus:

The syllabus for the SBI Clerk exam is as follows:

Preliminary Examination:

  1. English Language
  2. Numerical Ability
  3. Reasoning Ability

 Main Examination:

  1. General/ Financial Awareness
  2. General English
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude

The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be printed bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern:

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern: The Exam Pattern followed by the State Bank of India for the Post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the Clerical Cadre has been detailed below.

Exam Pattern Details:  State Bank of India conducts online test (preliminary & main examinations), tests in official and/ or specified opted local language and subject to Government of India approval for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in Clerical Cadre.

Exam Pattern:- Examination will consist of two Phases, Viz.

Phase-I :

Preliminary Examination:

                  Preliminary Examinations consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Phase – II:

Main Examination :

             The structure of the main examination (online objective type) would be as follows:

Note: Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in the ‘Acquaint Yourself’ booklet, which will be made available to the eligible candidates along with the call letter for the test.

Test of knowledge of official and/or specified opted local language:

     Those who qualify for selection and produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In the case of others (qualified for selection), the specified opted local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining.

SBI Clerk Exam Selection Process:

 SBI Clerk Exam Selection Process: State Bank of India (SBI)’s Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in Clerical Cadre exam selection process details are given below.

Selection Procedure: The examination will consist of three phases, viz.

Phase-I: a) Preliminary Examination (Online): 100 marks (Objective type) – 1 hour

Phase-II: b) Main Examination (Online): 200 marks (Objective type) – 2 Hours 40 Minutes

Note-I: The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English &Hindi.

Note-II: There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th  mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Phase-III: Test of specified opted local language:

     Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test. In the case of others (qualified for selection), the specified opted local language tests will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found to be proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.

Provisional Selection (Subject to qualifying specified opted local language):

     The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be added to the selection and only the aggregate marks obtained in Main Examination (Phase-II) will be considered for the preparation of the final merit list. Provisional selection will be made on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the test (main examination).

Final Selection:

  1. Verification of eligibility for the post and information furnished in the online application
  2. Qualifying in the test of specified opted local language, where applicable, as detailed above
