CRPF has released the CRPF Syllabus 2023 and Exam Pattern on its official website for

Scheme of Examination:

  • The Examination will consist of Written Examination (CBT), Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test, Documents Verification, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All these stages of the Examination are

The Examination curriculum is as under:

1. FOR SI(Radio Operator/Crypto/Tech)

One paper carrying 200 marks. (Two marks for each Question) (Duration: 02 Hours for both Part-I &II)

Part-I: (100 marks)

CUT OFF  MARKS     FOR  THE POST         OF    SI (Radio Operator/Crypto/Technical/Civil,   ASI(Technical/Draughtsman)

  1. General/Ex-servicemen : 45% in each part of
  2. EWS/OBC/  SC/ST         : 40% in each part of
  • Questions will be of Objective Multiple choice type, Questions will be set in Hindi and
  • There will be a negative marking of 50 marks for each wrong answer for SI(RO/Crypto/Tech) posts and 0.25. marks for each wrong answer for SI(Civil), ASI(Tech/Draughtsman) posts. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.
  • The date & Centre of the Written Examination (CBT) will be informed to candidates via Admit Card (To be downloaded from the CRPF website), SMS & Emails
  • Candidates are not permitted to use calculators and other electronic They should not, therefore, bring the same inside the Examination Hall.
  • The Objection Management Link shall be hosted on the CRPF website 2-3 days after the conduct of the examination to invite objections from the candidates related to questions and answer keys of the Test, if
  • The dates of Tests indicated in the Notice are tentative. Any change in the schedule of the Test will be informed to the candidates only through the website of the
  • There is no provision for re-evaluation/rechecking of the No correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.

Indicative Syllabus : (For Part-I) (For SI (RO/Cry/Tech)

General Intelligence & reasoning:

     It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal types.   This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, Judgement, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc. The topics are Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/Number Classification, Figural Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Numerical Operations, symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/pattern-folding & un-folding, Figural Pattern-folding and completion, Indexing, Address matching, Date & City matching Classification of Centre Codes/roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence, etc.

General Knowledge and Awareness: 

            Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, etc.

 General English (Grammer) :

Questions will be in General English (Grammer).
